19th October - Unaff dressage - Brooksby EC

Marinaide was again the only one in the elementary classes, so doing these back to back was a real brain test for me! So except forgetting the first halt on entry and messing up the final halts, however once again he was fab, the mediums are showing more difference even though it all felt messier (as my instructor said at my next lesson, it can't be a bad thing!!) and we gained 66% and 67% which are his best elem scores to date!

5th October - HOYs

Accolaide & mermaide were both superstars! As Mermaides first time she did well and dealt well with jumping here, pefectly piloted by Laura, sadly 3 down was just damn unlucky but her attitude was fab and hopefully she will be back again! Accolaide sadly had a pole but a super ride again by sally ann but not that elusive clear!!

24th September - Pre HOYs working hunter practice - Addington

Laura and Mermaide were on fine form, winning the 1m class and then coming 2nd in the 1.05-1.10m class!!

24th September - Unaff dressage & NPS Qualifier, Hill house

Marinaide - Prelim NPS qualified, 1st place and 1st in the elementry with less 'umpf' than previous but still an ok test, we did the beach on Thursday so think that knocked some energy!!

17th September - Unaff dressage - Rearsby lodge RC

Marinaide - Novice & Elementary tests, both felt good and we managed all the movements in the elem without breaking the canter so really chuffed with that, 3rd in both and 64% in the elem too, plenty to work on but needed to have a play for my own brain skills (considering I forgot the halt on entry, I was right!!)

10th September - Crown Farm - Unaff ODE, 90cm

Laura & Mermaide were clear winners in the 90cm section, with a strong dressage and double clear with no time faults, she loves her XC!!

10th September - Solihull Unaff ODE, 70cm

So back to it, Marinaide attempt 2 at eventing....it went better!! Good dressage with the top mark, clear SJ with a forward and confident round (yay) and then the XC....better but still sticky, couldn't certainly tell he was fitter as managed more forward, sadly not enough as we had a few time faults but we did go clear! So the time faults cost us first place and we dropped to 3rd but really pleased compared to last time!!

28th August - Breed show - Inhand day

Serenaide - 2nd open brood mare ex.138sm

Ashley Elegant - 2nd open brood mare not ex. 138cm

Furzley Vanity Faire - 2nd filly foal (serenaide x wayland cranberry)

Furzley Faire Play - 1st colt foal and reserve champion foal (ashley elegant x To Be Faire)

Picket Post Paddington - 1st 2yo gelding

26th August - Breed show - Performance Day

Accolaide - 1st open working hunter & CHAMPION, 4th combined training

Marinaide - 1st novice dressage (NPS novice qualified) and 3rd combined training

To Be faire - 2nd 2/3yr old colt and top 3yo colt

Furzley Crusaide - 2nd veteran ridden at the grand age of 20 owned by Carolyn Talbot and ridden by daughter Lucy

13th August - Epworth Equestrian, unaff ODE 70cm

Furzley Marinaide was dropped in the deep end after only being 'north' for a short time, after a good dressage and a clear SJ his whimpy pants were on XC and sadly after a few 'almosts' we did have a stop! However he's pretty unfit so we shall continue on the fitness pledge and see if he fancies manning up!!

1st - 3rd August - NPS Summer Champs - Malvern

Mermaide won her section of the intermediate working hunter final and then went on to stand Intermediate CHAMPION!! Well done to laura!

25th - 27th July - New Forest Show

This must be Accolaides lucky show as he won the working hunter class again and gained his 2nd HOYs ticket (following the Monmouth winner being disqualified) really pleased for Sally Ann!

Ellie and her colt foal were both 5th in their classes, Serenaide was 2nd in her brood mare section and her filly foal (Vanity Faire) won

11th July - NPS Area 25 - David Broome

Furzley mermaide and Laura Avery have clenched the golden ticket and are off to HOYs in the WHP Ex 143cm section, they also took champion! So pleased for this pair and all the hard work paying off!!

2nd July - Burghley pony Club ODE - Burghley

Furzley Fanfaire had her first outing in over 6 months following on from a field injury in December which didn't transpire for some time! What felt like a tense dressage test obviously looked better than it felt with 28.58 and sat us in 3rd place. A clear SJ and then a fab XC which took us through the Burghley leaf pit and a rare no time faults, left us on our dressage score! Which was good enough for me having had a while our of the game! Luckily the 2 with better scores has time penalties and a pole SJ and allowed us to move up to 1st place!! I did give a squeek of excitement when I found out as I've missed being out for my little eventing pony and we both had a great time!

1st July - Monmouth

Accolaide jumped a fab clear only to end up 2nd! So close!! (Following 1st place being disqualified due to being an unlicenced stallion, Accolaide was awarded first place and gained his HOYs ticket)

25th June - Bury Farm

Mermaide jumped a stonking clear to come 2nd in the WHP qualifier

22nd June - Lincolnshire County Show

Accolaide produced a good clear round but sadly a couple of slips on the ground (even with studs!) resulted in a lower than usual mark and on joint marks with 2nd place, resulting in 3rd place and 1st had already qualified!

1st June - Area 12 - Summerhouse

Mermaide won the intermediate WHP class and 3rd in the RI qualifier, Accolaide was 2nd in the Open and RI qualifier

21st May - Area 24

Accolaide 2nd RI Qualifier

17th April - Unaff dressage - Brooksby EC

Mayfaire had her first competitive outing for an intro test, we started early so she could take everything in and except for being scared to leave the arena surface back onto concrete and doing a great bambi impression (which scared her and others, including me!) she was a little star! 67% which for a first attempt is pretty decent and we came 3rd against some rather smart eventing youngsters among others!

15th April - Second and final foal has arrived!

Furzley Serenaide foaled a big filly this morning by Wayland Cranberry, welcome to Furzley Vanity Faire!

9th April - NPS Spring Festival

Furzley Mermaide and Laura Avery had a confident round but sadly a pole to come 8th in the RI WHP qualifier

8th April - Stallion Passing

Picket Post Paddington (Barney) obtained his stallion licensing today, we have a lady lined up at home for him as his first attempt!

27th March - First foal has arrived!

Ashley Elegant has produced a large bay colt in the early hours, the first by Furzley To Be Faire! Already named, Furzley Faire Play

24th - 26th March - PUK Winter Champs

Mermaide and Laura were out for the RI WHP qualifier and came 6th over a tough course, her own Willoway Free Spirit went clear and won his section and stood champion!

5th March - NPS Area 20

Accolaide qualifies for RI WHP 2017!! What a superstar round and congratulations to Sally-Anne! Marinaide had an outing with Natasha Davies and gave a super clear and came 5th in the novice working hunter.

12th February - NPS Area 7 - Bury Farm

Team Furzley were out in force, Marinaide & Tasha, Accolaide & Sally-Anne and Mermaide & Laura! Training stakes at the start of the day for both Marinaide and Mermaide where they both had clears, onto the RI where Accolaide had a stonking confident clear but sadly wasn't the judges cup of tea and came 5th but a super start for the qualifiers! Mermaide had a couple of poles but was a different pony to this time last year and is testiment to lauras work! Marinaide was in the novice workers later and produced a nice clear, then a 10/10 for his show and came 2nd! A super start to his time with Tasha who under the watchful guidance of sally anne has come on leaps and bounds with marinaide who has never really done much due to lack of time, so he is certainly enjoying being out and about!
